Credo8 RBI Software is ideal for managing inspection of PipeLines.

Introduction: In the dynamic realm of industrial operations, pipeline management plays a vital role in ensuring smooth resource transportation. With ever-advancing technology, innovative solutions like RBI (Risk-Based Inspection) software have revolutionized how pipeline operators assess and maintain assets. In this blog post, we’ll explore the impact of RBI software on pipeline integrity management.

Understanding RBI Software: RBI software utilizes advanced algorithms and risk assessment methodologies to optimize pipeline inspection strategies. It considers factors like pipeline age, material, corrosion rates, and operating conditions to prioritize inspections efficiently. By focusing on high-risk areas, RBI software helps operators allocate resources effectively and target preventive maintenance where it matters most.

The Advantages of RBI Software for Pipelines:

  1. Enhanced Safety: RBI software mitigates potential failures, identifying critical areas that need attention. Operators can address weaknesses proactively, safeguarding the environment and surrounding communities.
  2. Cost-Effectiveness: Optimized inspection schedules through RBI software reduce unnecessary inspections and minimize downtime. Operators can allocate resources more efficiently, optimizing maintenance budgets.
  3. Improved Asset Life Management: RBI software empowers operators to address issues promptly, enhancing pipeline durability and extending its operational lifespan.
  4. Compliance and Regulation Adherence: RBI software aids in meeting stringent regulatory requirements, maintaining a positive industry reputation.
  5. Data-Driven Decision Making: RBI software relies on historical data and predictive analytics for informed decision-making, assessing risk levels with confidence.

Conclusion: RBI software is a milestone in pipeline management, optimizing inspections, improving safety, and reducing costs. Embracing this technology demonstrates a commitment to environmental preservation and community welfare. As pipelines continue to evolve, RBI software will play a pivotal role in maintaining pipeline integrity and reliability.

A new client for Credsoft and based northwest of Erbil, the capital of The Kurdistan Region of Iraq, TAQA Iraq operates the Atrush Field.

Earlier this year, Credo8 was deployed and recently upgraded to the latest version using a new Synch Tool developed by Credosoft. This tool assists in the comparison of legacy and clean template databases and creates scripts to assist in the upgrade process. It is a time-saving and efficiency tool which benefits the client and the development team at Credosoft alike.

TAQA also chose to implement the Dashboards and RBA modules. As at the start of Qu 2, this project is complete with all systems being used in Production.

With work beginning in 2022, and in addition to the migration of existing data, work has been continuing on the development of new functionality specifically for Air Products.

The project deliverables include the building of interfaces for SAP and OpenText and implementation of additional modules; RBA, Damage Modeller, Workflow, Dashboards and RBI.

First phase of this project is now nearing completion with power user training finished and a soft go-live planned for the end of March.

Following the successful completion of Phase 1 which saw the upgrade of C4 to C8 and reworking of the SAP interface, Phase 2 is now complete  and concludes the migration of RB.eye data into Credo and the full implementation of Credo RBI solution.
